A full bodied wine with soft tannins, intense raspberry and blackberry flavours, pepper and spice. Cassis and earthy overtones complete the wine. Powerful cassis and chocolate aromas with charred overtones. Some pepper, cinnamon and coffee characters from oak ageing present in the background.
The classic match for a full bodied Barossa Shiraz is a fillet of beef accompanied with a red wine jus but it will also pair well with a hearty lamb stew.
